Everything Store Credit & Gift Cards does, on one page.
Each line links the help page that explains it.
Store credit
- Give credit to a registered customer, or to an email address for someone without an account, in two steps: fill in, review, then issue (more)
- A reason for your records (Manual, Compensation, Refund alternative, Loyalty, Promotion, Giveaway, Other), a message for the customer and a note only staff see (more)
- Per credit: an expiry date, only certain products or categories, whether it may be combined with coupons, whether it may also pay tax and shipping (more)
- Correct a balance with a reason, expire, revoke or archive a credit, send its email again; the history keeps every line (more)
- Many credits at once from a CSV file, with a preview before anything is issued (more)
- Cashback: a percent of what customers pay for products, paid into store credit after a waiting time, lowered by refunds (more)
- Customers send gift card balance, or store credit too, to someone else when you allow it (more)
Gift cards
- A gift card is a normal WooCommerce product; one button creates it already set up (more)
- Four ways to set the value: the product price, a separate face value (pay 25, get 30), up to 20 preset amounts, or an amount the buyer types in within your limits (more)
- For the buyer, an optional recipient or a required recipient, with a personal message and a delivery date the buyer picks (more)
- Sent only when the order is paid; the recipient gets the value, the code and the message by WooCommerce's own email (more)
- The recipient spends it with the code and their email, no account needed, or links it to their account (more)
- Gift cards cannot be bought with credit or lowered by a coupon, so a discount never turns into spendable value (more)
- Card designs: up to 12 pictures the buyer chooses from, shown in the email, the account and the printable card (more)
- Physical gift cards shipped with the order, printed from the order (more)
- Customers add money to a gift card they already have (more)
- A printable card (PDF) with a QR code that opens the cart with the code, for the customer, for you and as an email attachment (more)
- Holder cards that whoever holds them can spend, with an optional PIN: sold online and shipped, or made in batches for a card printer (numbers and PINs as a CSV, a sheet of cards to print), each activated when sold (more)
At checkout and after
- A signed-in customer sees their credits above the cart and applies one with a click; it is never spent by itself (more)
- Several credits on one order, and what is left stays for next time (more)
- Credit is held for an unpaid order, so nobody can spend it twice, and given back when the order is cancelled (more)
- A full refund gives the credit back by itself; on a partial refund you decide how much (more)
- Customers who switched the shop to another currency with WPML or FOX pay with credit there too, converted at the switcher's rate (more)
- Refund an order as store credit from WooCommerce's own refund panel: the refund is recorded, the amount becomes store credit for the customer, exactly once per refund (more)
- Works in WooCommerce's block cart and checkout
- My Account shows each customer their own credits, balance and history (more)
Refer a Friend
- A customer shares a personal link; the friend gets store credit or a first-order discount, the customer gets store credit (more)
- A minimum first order, waiting days before credit is released, an invitation window and limits per customer and for the whole program (more)
- You decide which other offers may be combined, separately for the first order and for spending each side's credit (more)
- No self-referral, first purchase only, and both rewards are cancelled when the friend's order is refunded (more)
Records and reports
- Every credit has a full history: issued, held, used, given back, corrected (more)
- Reports over 7, 30, 90 or 365 days, and a read-only check that points at credits whose history and balance disagree (more)
- What is outstanding, by currency, age and expiry, for your bookkeeping; CSV exports (more)
- Takes part in WordPress's personal data export and erase tools (more)
