Explore Image Manager
Open the interactive workspace and try the controls.
Choose the scope and recovery profile
| Profile | Included recovery material |
|---|---|
| Essential recovery | Original files, supported attachment metadata, folder and collection organization, and recorded edit information. |
| Published recovery | Essential recovery plus the included native image sizes and managed copies within the profile’s limits. |
Back up all media you can edit or focus on a folder or collection. The archive uses ordinary media files with readable information and structured records, so the recovery material can travel with you.

Create a copy you can keep
- Open Backups, select the scope and profile, and start the snapshot.
- Follow the saved progress; pause, resume or process the next step as needed.
- Inspect the completed snapshot and download the ZIP.
- Store the downloaded copy somewhere durable, or send a verified copy to your remote destination.
Local snapshots require ZipArchive and private writable storage outside public website paths. Optional password encryption is available when the host passes its encryption check. Keep the password separately; it is needed to restore encrypted content. Hosting can clear temporary storage, so download important recovery copies.
Import, inspect and restore one item
Importing a compatible backup verifies its format and registers it in local recovery storage. It does not publish media or replace content. Inspect the archive, choose an item and select the appropriate restore mode.
Restore as a new item
Create a new attachment with supported metadata and organization, then select it in your content. This also supports recovery onto another compatible site.
Restore in place
On the same site, restore an existing editable attachment after a separate verified safety snapshot. Its attachment identity is retained.
Keep media recovery alongside your site backup
These archives recover media and its supported context. Pages, products, orders, customers, the full database, theme code and plugin code belong in your full-site backup. A selective media restore does not reconstruct that content or automatically publish an old delivery map.
Deleting a local snapshot removes that recovery copy; it leaves the media and remote backups in place. After an uncertain restore response, check the Library before repeating Restore as new.
