Choose a product scope
| Scope | How it matches |
|---|---|
| All eligible purchased products | Evaluate supported purchased items across the cart, subject to the rule’s exclusions and eligibility checks. |
| Selected products / variations | Search by product name or exact SKU. Selecting a variable parent can cover its purchased variations; choose an individual variation for a narrower offer. |
| Selected categories | Match products in the selected categories and their descendants. |
Simple products and individual variations are supported. Exclude specific products or variations when they should not receive the offer. Sale products are excluded by default.

Count only what qualifies
Excluded, protected, free or externally priced lines contribute neither matching quantity nor matching spend. A cart can contain other products without those products helping reach this rule’s threshold.
Choose to count quantity Across eligible matching products or Within each cart line. In line mode, two separate lines stay separate even when they share a SKU.
Use matching catalog spend
Minimum matching spend uses eligible catalog unit prices multiplied by quantity, before Dynamic Pricing reduces those prices. Shipping, fees, coupons and unmatched products do not count.
For example, three eligible units at a $40 catalog price provide $120 of matching spend. A separate $80 item outside the rule’s scope adds nothing to that threshold. Spend stays combined across matching lines even when quantity is counted within each line.
The tax basis follows how catalog prices are entered in WooCommerce. This is a matching-merchandise threshold, not the final amount payable.
Narrow an eligible consumer audience
Consumer role restrictions narrow a customer who is already eligible; they do not override a B2B classification or an ineligible account. Leave roles empty to permit any otherwise eligible consumer, including a guest. Guests do not match a nonempty role restriction.
