Choose the appropriate customer policy

Verified audience provider

The default policy asks the supported audience owner for a current decision. Dynamic Pricing requires both consumer classification and eligible status.

Consumer-only store

An explicit merchant declaration for a store that has no business accounts and no retained audience-provider requirement. It does not override an expected provider.

Choose the right path

A current decision for the current customer

  • Eligible consumer

    Evaluate matching retail offers.

  • B2B account

    Keep business pricing separate.

  • Unknown eligibility

    Follow the configured customer policy.

Business accounts keep their own pricing

B2B accounts are excluded from Dynamic Pricing’s consumer offers, including business accounts receiving a zero-percent discount or paying retail prices. A pending application may still be classified as a consumer while being ineligible for promotions.

Roles can restrict an eligible consumer further. Adding a consumer-looking role does not make an otherwise ineligible account qualify.

A single current decision through Commerce Core

When Commerce Core is connected, it provides the audience connection to the product that owns the account decision. Dynamic Pricing also respects supported cart-line ownership so it can avoid prices and items controlled elsewhere.

A missing, expired, contradictory or competing audience decision withholds the offer. If an expected provider or Core is removed, the previous requirement remains; selecting consumer-only does not bypass it. Restore the compatible connection and review eligibility.

Check the actual account

Use the simulator’s Current customer eligibility and roles mode to select a site customer or guest. It reads that account’s actual roles and available eligibility decision. Sample audience mode is useful for hypothetical cases, but it does not verify a customer.

When a customer becomes ineligible, Dynamic Pricing withdraws its own confirmed discount. Free Gifts & BOGO and other installed products handle their own gifts, prices or credit. Checkout requires a refreshed offer if eligibility changes.
