A clear application journey
- Create a business signup page or place the application shortcode on your chosen page.
- The buyer signs in, or creates a login and completes the application.
- Staff review company details, answers and supporting documents.
- Approve the account, assign a business group and publish any individual pricing terms.
- The approved buyer uses the business portal, ordering tools and permitted checkout.

Account status has a purpose
| Status | Buyer experience |
|---|---|
| Awaiting review | No business prices yet; consumer promotions are excluded. |
| Approved | Assigned prices and permitted business purchasing apply. |
| Not approved | The buyer may correct and resubmit; a valid single membership returns to retail eligibility. |
| On hold | Purchasing is held and consumer promotions remain excluded. |
| Withdrawn | The buyer may resubmit; a valid single membership returns to retail eligibility. |
Shared business groups, individual agreements
Assign one active business group to each company account. Leave its account percentage blank to inherit, or enter a deliberate override. An explicit 0% keeps regular business pricing without returning the account to consumer promotions.
Keep private review notes in staff-visible account activity. Status emails follow the saved decision; a mail-delivery failure does not undo the approval or suspension.
A focused account workflow
Applications require staff review by default. An account type can instead approve valid applications automatically when that policy is enabled. Buyers cannot choose their own business group or discount.
An approved company has an owner and can invite permitted managers, buyers and finance viewers. Company Team controls membership and purchasing permissions. Shared addresses, lists, spending controls and approval requests support company purchases.
