Use a broad catalog or a curated collection
Set the number of free items, eligible gift selection and optional value limit.
Choose all eligible catalog products, a selection of named products and variations, or supported groups such as categories and tags. A whole-catalog pool can include newly added products when they pass the same rules.
Product and category exclusions give you control over items that must never be free. Selecting a variable parent can cover its variations; selecting an exact variation narrows the choice to that option.
A paid purchase can still be a valid gift choice. Use explicit gift exclusions when an item must be unavailable as a reward. Narrow collections can also make large catalogs easier for shoppers to browse.
Set a maximum value for each gift
A $20 cap allows an otherwise eligible gift valued at $20 and excludes one above it. Two gifts with that cap are two separate items, each worth up to $20.

The accepted reward line is free. The reference value does not change the product’s stored price or the price of an ordinary paid copy.
Keep choices aligned with the live catalog
Free Gifts & BOGO checks the actual product or variation, availability, purchasing restrictions, stock rules, exclusions and cap. If a selected gift becomes ineligible, the cart removes that choice and the customer can select another available item.
An earned choice remains optional. When no gift is available, the offer does not silently substitute another item or convert unused value into store credit.
