Issue Credit
Create the right value for the right person.
Select a registered customer when the credit should belong to that account. Use an external recipient email for the email-bound path. Add the amount and reason, an optional customer message and a separate internal note.
Advanced controls include expiry, permitted products/categories, ordinary-coupon combining, tax budget and optional shipping treatment. Leaving the manual-code field blank lets the system generate the code. Your review and final confirmation are separate protected steps.
The confirmed request has a stable identity. An exact retry is designed to recover the existing result. The customer message can go into the notification; internal notes remain for authorized staff.
Credits and detail
Know what changed, and why.
The Credits workspace distinguishes active, reserved, exhausted, expired, revoked and archived records. Search can resolve a supported credit/code/customer identifier, while source, date and expiry views help narrow the result.

The Advanced coupon link opens WooCommerce’s owner screen for native coupon controls. Editing a coupon face amount is not a supported way to increase the reusable balance. Use Store Credit’s own adjustment workflow.
Working style
Enhanced or Performance. The same authority.
Enhanced mode provides the branded interface, eligible in-place navigation and improved search/select controls. Performance uses normal PHP page reloads and lighter native presentation. Both use the same permissions, financial rules and saved records.
With a compatible Suite, Store Credit appears inside the shared workspace and contributes a read-only summary. The Suite-wide Enhanced UI disable takes priority without overwriting the local preference. Removing the Suite restores the standalone destination without moving balances.
Save forms before leaving them. There is no universal autosave or unsaved-change recovery. A successful catalog search is not a saved referral-program change.
Reports and insights
Understand balances, activity and order value.
Use 7-, 30-, 90- and 365-day activity windows. Issued, redeemed, restored, expired or revoked activity during a period is different from the currently available and reserved balance. Associated order value provides context; it does not measure additional revenue generated by credit.
Short report caching keeps summaries responsive; checkout reads the authoritative service. Some lists and associated-order samples are bounded. For a mismatch, inspect the linked history and read-only diagnostics instead of issuing replacement value.
