My Account
Give owners a useful view of their credit.
Customers can open the Store Credit area to see their own instruments, available value, expiry and recent activity. Gift Cards is always shown in the account area, also with a zero balance; Store Credit appears when the customer has an available store-credit balance.

The account view remains permission-scoped. Customers do not see someone else’s instrument by changing an address or record number. Staff-only notes and private referral-participant information are omitted. The displayed list is bounded and does not turn different currencies into one converted wallet.
Cart and checkout
Apply credit without hunting for a code.

A familiar checkout. A clear remaining total.
Here, the customer chooses to apply $50 of available credit to a $299 order, leaving $249 to pay through the store’s normal checkout. The credit remains removable before the order is placed.
Customers stay in control of when they spend their credit; the order summary shows the reduction alongside the remaining total.

Choose
A signed-in owner selects the available account credit they want to apply.
Review
The server rechecks the instrument and WooCommerce shows the recalculated eligible total.
Keep control
Remove the credit before placing the order, or pay the remaining amount normally.
The Blocks panel sits before the normal Cart or Checkout Block, rather than depending on an open coupon accordion. Classic forms follow the same ownership and native-coupon path. Payment fields remain WooCommerce’s responsibility.
Store Credit is not automatically spent. The separate accepted Refer a Friend invitation can supply its configured immediate friend discount; that does not authorize spending any existing account credit.
Rules that follow the instrument
A visible balance is not a blank permission.
The usable amount depends on the current available balance, owner, currency, expiry, state, product/category scope, coupon combinations and saved tax/shipping choices. Multiple credits may combine when enabled, while native individual-use restrictions and other programs’ vetoes still apply.
Credit cannot buy credit-sale products. Fees are not discounted, and shipping or tax treatment depends on the saved policy and supported calculations. A smaller eligible purchase leaves unspent value for later orders rather than discarding it.
Loading or unavailable data is different from zero credit. A failed application provides feedback and an opportunity to correct the cause. It does not silently assign the original coupon amount as a replacement balance.
Email recipients and gifts
Ownership stays with the intended recipient.
An account-bound credit requires the assigned account to be signed in. Entering another person’s billing email does not transfer it. An email-bound recipient uses the code and the matching final billing email; possession of the code alone is insufficient.
A recipient can claim an emailed card into the matching signed-in account using the protected claim workflow. Claiming links the existing instrument and does not duplicate its value. My Account keeps Store Credit and Gift Card balances separate.
Credit emails explain the original issued amount, code, optional expiry and saved terms. An old email is not a live statement of today’s remaining balance. Customers should use their current account or checkout information for that.
After purchase
Order status and balance history agree.
A cart discount is only a preview. Persisting the order reserves its validated allocation; accepted order status then records redemption. An order-received page for an offline payment is not by itself evidence that cash was collected.
Cancellations and eligible restoration return value through the relevant credit history. A refund of a purchase paid using an affiliate-payout credit does not settle that original affiliate commission again. The shopping credit and original payout keep their own records.
